Jack is a Handsome Fellow! (Your Sunday Best)

"As beauty I'm not a great star.
Other's are handsomer far;
   But my face-- I don't mind it
   Because I'm behind it;
It's the folks out in front that I jar."
                                         Anthony Euwer

 Jack- in- the- pulpit. I think he is very handsome. Would you not agree?

  7. Mr. Jack is very handsome indeed! Nice shot. These fellas are 'protected' here in Nova Scotia I believe. Can't take them from 'nature' but can from a nursery.

  8. I most certainly agree.
    And what I like best is the perspective you shot it from.
    It looks like a fashionable hat, something to be worn at Royal Ascot.
    It has swagger and style.

  10. Love the color and the tight focus. I've never seen this one except in photos. Do they grow naturally where you are, or is this one in a garden?

    I also appreciate finding there is a known author to the poem. I learned that one from my mom.

  21. Seems my comment didn't make it through!

    I just said it brought back lovely memories of searching through the woods as a kid with my Uncle looking for Jacks.

  22. And now I know why they make jack in pulpit an art form in crystal, pottery and porcelain..YOU CAPTURED the "form" perfectly!
