Mobile Blogging and a Huge Smile!

We are all responsible for our own happiness. Unknown

I was going to post a insightful blog and had dreams of an amazing story to share with you. I am afraid you are going to have to settle for a little ramble with no photos. I have found out I am not at all a technical genius nor even a capable mobile blogger. I now very much admire those who can do it.
Be assured my head and my journal or should I say tattered book is full of exciting adventures. I must tell you I have enjoyed the four day and not all the four night train ride through this magnificent place we call Canada. I have met people I will never forget, and experienced things I have imprinted deep in my mind. I have met lifelong email buddies I am sure.
Now in Vancouver I have walked miles and miles, or kilometers and kilometers, which ever you prefer. I have been to the top of the 1300 year old red wood trees and hiked the top of the snow covered mountains. I find this to be the city that has captured my heart and my soul completely. Nature in my reach, easily accessible and the view of the mountains completely absorbing me so much as to be oblivious to all going on around me. A welcome pain free vacation with so much excitement I tend to be spilling my enthusiasm to total strangers.
I have been told by a stranger that she will remember to not take for granted all this beauty that surrounds her she thinks that if you live somewhere so long that you eventually start to not notice the view. I am so happy I have never been like that. I still notice every little change in my bush back home and am sure I could never ignore the mountains, the trees and not to mention the water she gets to see every single day from her kitchen window. I went to see the Emily Carr exhibit at the gallery and found peace in her paintings her views of the forest which I refer to as the bush made her soul sing and absorbed her into a place where she would have never left, she referred to it as her church, I have always felt that way and thought I was the only one. An eccentric woman who lived and thought different from most, a woman I would have gotten along with perfectly.
While you are reading this I may be on the ferry ride to Victoria to explore all it has to offer. You can bet you will not be seeing me in any mall or store shopping, I can do that at home. I will be surrounded by mountains and trees, picking up,dirty things on the beach enjoying every gift that Mother Nature has to share.
See you soon I am pretty sure my attempt at mobile blogging is over and you will have to wait till I return. Know that I am having the best time in the most magnificent and natural environment a person should see. I am sure it is going to be very hard to wipe this huge smile off of my face for months,or possibly longer.
Thanks D in BC for the awesome snow trekking day.

Later.

  12. OH THANK YOU for opening that little window into your trip. It sounds absolutely amazing. Scott and I walked twice on the new trail near our home over the weekend and we have decided that as our cats and dogs pass away we will not replace them until we get back from hiking the Appalachian Trail. You just have to grab life's adventures and ENJOY!

  13. I am so very glad you are having an amazing time here in BC, Buttons! I am up in Prince George (light years into the bush according to most lower-mainlanders, it seems) and I am enjoying watching our yard come to life for another spring. Can't wait for your post once you are home!

    Best,
