Handsome Fellows and Their Ladies!

Handsome is that handsome does.
           Oliver Goldsmith

I came across a couple of handsome fellows and their beautiful lady friends the other evening. The fellows were showing the ladies how to walk around a field and make a grand impression. I must say it certainly worked for me. They are very skilled indeed and captured my eye and my heart.

I was at yet another auction with My Hero when I found myself getting bored, (I know that does not sound like me but it is true), I ventured outside to see what was going on and I was so glad I did. I noticed right away some movement in the horse arena so I thought I would go and check out these magnificent beasts. I had no idea how hard horse trainers work to get their horses ready for a show and I must admit I had no idea how hard a handsome fellow will try to get his own way.

This is the start of the season for horse shows of all kinds, and there was to be a grand show of skills, and beauty on Sunday with barrel racing etc., I mention only barrel racing because for some unknown reason that is the event I love watching the most. There is something about the skill involved and I just cannot get enough of it. These lovely ladies had trailered these fine young fellows down to this arena to practise. I must say I think the young fellows were more interested in the field trip away from home and the nice green grass growing around the perimeter of the ring.

I asked the beautiful young ladies if they minded if I watched and took some photos. I usually do not put photos of people on this blog as you know but, with their permission and the fact that they looked so darn skilled I just had to. I watched these handsome fellows trot around the ring putting on quite a show but the one fellow I will not mention his name was way more interested in eating and stopping to watch the goings on around him much to his ladies dismay. He certainly was showing her who was the boss. If he decided he seen something interesting he just stopped without warning.

I must say I enjoyed watching this show, these are the most beautiful animals to watch and enjoy even when they are not putting on a show for a huge audience. I look forward to all the upcoming shows and hopefully the grass around the arena was gone by Sunday so one handsome fellow made it all the way around the ring without stopping for a bite. I do know that no matter what, the beautiful young ladies would have had a great time ribbons or not. Thank you for sharing your time.

 Very handsome fellows indeed!

  3. Gorgeous horses. I went to an auction awhile back and left at noon and it wasn't even half over! I have too much stuff and decided I had more important things to do.
