A Day of Nothingness!

A thing of beauty is a joy forever;
It’s loveliness increases; it will never
Pass into nothingness.
       John Keats.

I long for a day of nothingness.

A day where the trees surround and hold me so tight, my body cannot move.

A day where the sounds of nature are so loud, my ears cannot hear the calling of my name.

A day where abundant beauty holds my attention, my eyes cannot wander.

A day where the sweet smell of the cedars is so overwhelming, my nose cannot escape.

A day where the peace and solitude is so smothering, my brain cannot think.

A day where the clouds will lift me so high, my heart cannot ache.

A day where everyone has this place to escape, and they will not suffer.

Just one day.

A day of nothingness.

  2. Wow! Did you make that up all by yourself? You're a poet! Beautiful. And so do I....long for that day. My friend told me she stayed in her pajamas the other day and crocheted and crafted all day long. sigh.....

  4. I do this a lot now. I like to keep busy doing nothing.

    I know what you mean about craving a day of nothingness... I don't know how to get one, either...

  19. I truly believe it is a matter of slowly but surely becoming unpluged again. I think that is why I am not blogging....I want to just be...enjoy the simple things again...not have to think of "is this worth sharing?"...not have to think about I should take a picture. Learning to read a good book again...I read A New Earth by Echart Tolle...kind of new age but parts of it was really really interesting....my dad could have written it if he had put his thoughts into words....our ego contols so much of our thoughts....in the long run...things we think just are not that important but to ourselves...you know what I mean...
