Goodbye Rural Thursday Blog Hop!

Best of all it to preserve everything in a pure,
still heart,
and let there be for every pulse a thanksgiving,
and for every breath a song.
                Konrad von Gesner

I could not let the last Rural Thursday Blog Hop go without saying Goodbye and Thank you from the Girls and myself. Nancy and Lisa have been hosting my favourite Blog Hop for I cannot remember how long.

Nancy when you started this I was intrigued and excited. It was a chance for everyone to see what rural living was all about. We could all share and learn from one another.

I have learned many things and hopefully shared a few tips myself. I looked forward to every Thursday. I would get up in the middle of the night as I am now doing and create something to share.

You have shown people who are rural or dream of being rural what it is like and how to deal with things that people may not even have known existed. Like-minded people gathering over a cup of tea or coffee in the morning reading each other’s thoughts, adventures, and most of all consuming tremendous knowledge.

I am going to miss you Rural Thursday Blog Hop, I know Nancy@ http://www.aruraljournal.com/ will not be going anywhere and I know Lisa @ http://www.twobearsfarm.com/  will not be going anywhere and I am so happy about that but......

I must say it is very sad saying goodbye to what has become like an old friend.

Thank you Nancy for the great run.  The girl’s and I appreciate it. Hugs B

  4. Oh that's so sad! I wasn't aware Rural Thursday blog Hop was being closed down. But then I haven't linked up for a few weeks due to my reduction in blog posts.
Ah well... It's been great while I've been linking up and I've thoroughly enjoyed sharing my rural trips from a city dweller.
    Nice cows Buttons!

  14. Button! I know! i think i met you via Rural Thursday. I guess Hops can't go on forever? I am glad I have met you. Thanks for you effort in trying to spot the flag. It is teeny but I know it is one because there is a Walmart on the horizon line and a Chase bank. Between the two there is a Flag there. hahahaha. I didn't want to crop out the plateau but also thought making mention of the flag would be a fun "where is it question."

btw, how fitting to have cows on your last Rural Thursday post.

  28. Great pics. I know what you mean about "losing a friend" and saying good-bye. Maybe someone else will start a new blog hop for you. I have made 'friends' with bloggers and then they quit blogging without even saying good-bye. You always wonder what happened.

  37. I only just discovered it and it was one of only two link ups I participate in these days, so I'm sad to see it go. But I don't know how people keep up with those. I'm grateful they did it long enough for me to hop on a couple of times and become acquainted with other bloggers like you!

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  46. i'm such a fan of your girls! don't know what it is about the first image, but i had to chuckle when your page loaded! something about that "who me?" expression!

  47. Thanks for visiting my blog and for your wonderful comments. I would love to follow your blog, if I may :)

  48. I don't typically take part in any memes or shared postings such as this but I can certainly imagine the feeling of loss when someone has participated in one and it no longer continues to be. If it's a matter of the host being unable to continue to commit, why not consider taking it on yourself? That's of course coming from someone who has no idea what it's about so take it with a grain of salt. ;) Lovely Mootivational pics.

  49. Delightful looking cows! Must be cool to be around farm animals daily!

  51. That's too bad. I will miss it too, even though I didn't participate. It has been fun and interesting to read and see the photos. I can tell all your cows have gathered to say goodbye as well. I just love there white faces. So sweet.

  52. These cows are so adorable!! Thank you for sharing these lovely pictures.

I've never participated in Nancy's blog hop but I've seen posts linking up to it. I've always enjoyed them thoroughly.

I hope you will continue to share snippets from your life so we can continue to learn about rural living (I hope I can live in a farm someday).

    With love
