Happily Heading to the City!

Ability and necessity dwell near each other.

NO PHOTOS they are LOST IN SPACE !!!!!

Well this is not the post I was going to post the one stuck on my Android tablet was named “Old Dog New Tricks” meaning I was going to be mobile blogging, a new trick for an old dog. I was actually starting to believe I was not so technologically challenged after all and since I posted this great post on my Android tablet that all I had to do was push the Publish button… wrong I appear to have missed a step. I will work on that when I get back home. Meanwhile this is the post I wrote while sitting in the back of a car being driven by Melissa on our way to the city. I do hope it will work. There are no photos they are stuck in the Android also. I may need to work on my technological skills a little more but for now I am just going to enjoy this time with my girls.

Oh I am so happy, well except for the fact that I am on a very busy highway travelling with bumper to bumper traffic on a holiday weekend, I have to admit I have some issues with stress if I am not the one driving, the no control thing has always bothered me. I normally feel more comfortable if I am behind the wheel but on this busy highway I am happy I am not the one driving either. I am much more comfortable driving in the country and I must say I can drive my 4X4 tractor with 150 horsepower engine and a wagon load of round bales down the road and not even think of it but I convince myself I have all the control while doing that. I feel like there is no control on this highway. I sit back and write to take away my stress.

I listen to the girls talking, laughing, and then complaining about the others on the road and I smile. We had bid My Hero goodbye and my last words to him were if you can hear my little voice in your head saying “Are you crazy” then do not do it. I also stressed do not under any circumstances put that new ladder near any building and climb it. I am pretty sure he gets that I worry and promised me he would not do any of those things that make me cringe. He told me he will be feeding the cows and enjoying watching Netflix, quietly with the volume on low (wonder what that means). I do think to myself perfect.

My thoughts are interrupted when Kat laughs out loud, I missed the joke but there is nothing I love to hear more than my girls laughing and talking about their lives. I cannot wait to experience their lives and this time with them. Melissa decides to get off this crazy highway of stop fast, then go fast and will pay to drive on the toll road it is less congested and I am so happy to hear this, maybe now I can relax a little. I wish we were there.

This is a beautiful drive avoiding Toronto all together heading to Hamilton, we pass barn after abandoned barn. Beautiful farmland and I must say it seems a large number of golf courses I think to myself golf must be very popular up here. I can see where this highway has cut a path right through beautiful farms and farmland. I do not know if it was productive farmland but I do know the barns are incredible. I wish I could have pulled off the road and taken photos. We are almost to Hamilton the girls are talking about what we will be doing I am so happy. I do hope My Hero hears my voice in his head as loud as I hear the girls giggling and stays safe. I wonder if Annie is missing me.

I am not sure if I will be able to post again till I get back but just know I am surrounding myself with the love and hugs of my girls and will be taking lots of photos and writing stories to share later. Oh I am so happy.

Later

  7. Enjoy every minute with your girls, Miss B. I am sure they are as thrilled to have you visiting as you are to be there.

When I was working in town I always worried about something happening to J while I was gone. Then I thought about if something did happen how long he could lay there before I suspected something was wrong.

J is our primary driver. He things I am a bad driver and can't relaz when I am behind the wheel. So, I do a lot of reading in the car.

    Hugs to you.

  12. Ican see your smile and hear the joy in your voice, being with the girls.
We had a great visit with S & K over the weekend, but yes the traffic from Ottawa on Sunday was not fun, and it rained most of the way so that was stressful.
Your Hero will be just fine, too busy with work and the farm to get into too much trouble.
Enjoy and I will call when you get home.

    Love You, BA

  14. I'm so happy that you're on this trip and spending time with your girls. I've been finding mobile blogging very challenging - either I can't attach photos, or my edits show up on one device and not another, or I completely lose the post. I'm thinking, the problem can't possibly be us technologically savvy gals... :-) Enjoy your trip!

  39. Oh buttons! Us ole gals can conquer this tech stuff- just takes us longer cause we think we need to know what we are doing first- rather then just push the buttons first then think what went wrong! Well thats as profound as I'm getting here!!! Have fun- love your laughing and enjoying your girls!!! And I so know what you mean about hub's getting on that ladder or any other foolish thing while no one is there to spot him.... I have one of those guys too...... :)
    Fondly, Rain
