Disconnect!

Action and reaction, ebb and flow, trial and error, change-
this is the rhythm of living.
Out of our over-confidence, fear;
out of our fear, clearer vision, fresh hope.
And out of hope progress.
            Bruce Barton

The day we opened up the gate to let our cows into the pasture next door they ran and jumped and rushed into a world where some of them, meaning the calves that were born during the winter months, have never been but on seeing the older ones running towards and not away from without any fear, they also ran along behind and were not afraid, with not a thought or worry about what lie ahead.

I truly love sharing my world with you and last week I realized I have shared over 700 stories but I find I need to pull the plug or disconnect from technology at this time for a short Blogging break. I feel I must go to a place that will allow me to not get so wrapped up in everything that technology has brought into my world and let my mind pause for a bit. This little break will be bringing with it an adventure, I never doubt that and I shall keep it pure and simple, back to basics as they say.

I will be bringing my paper and pen, and am still deciding if I should bring my camera, I guess that would be the hardest thing for me to leave behind, I honestly do not think I can do that. I need to feel and experience my own feelings without worrying about the world that is brought to my screen every minute, every hour of every day. I do plan to surround myself with people and will not be hiding out somewhere if you were wondering, but will fight my need to communicate my thoughts instantly. I am sure there will be a tale or two to share later.

I know this disconnect thing is going to be good for me just as those calves knew that field they have never ventured into before was going to be good for them. I shall return soon with hopefully “That peaceful easy feeling”, and yes I do know that is a song, a truly great one, I have to point out. See you all very soon. Take care.

I will be checking my email periodically in case there is something important that I need to know. I am pretty sure total technology free is out of the question for me because I truly do care about my Blogger family and want to be reachable if they have that need.Thank you for understanding. Hug B

  18. I will miss you so much, but I know how you feel. I have similar feelings and am cutting back on blogging, just posting pictures most of the time. You have spent a lot of energy on your blog since you write stories here all the time. That plus all the rest of your life, I really don't see how you do it all. So enjoy your break and I'm looking forward to finding out what you have been up to.

  48. Hi B!
    I've been absent from my blog and reading blogs on a regular basis so I thoroughly understand your need for a break. Sometimes I wonder if I have all ready used some title or told some story of our life's adventure and then I realize that is just part of life and that sometimes it signals a time when we need to step back and just "experience" said life. ENJOY you time away.
