Sharing with Friends in 2014!

There is no difference between time
and any of the three dimensions of space except
that our conscious moves along it.
                              Herbert George Wells

The tractor creeps slowly up the lane through the light falling snow I know My Hero is taking in the beautiful view as he passes it, we have that in common. I sit here and wonder how cold it is out there. The woodstove below me is pumping out so much soothing heat my bones are toasty warm, My Hero makes sure that it is keeping me warm but I know while he is outside he is not feeling the same thing. I heard on the radio this morning that a Siberian frigid cold front has moved in, he will no doubt be racing into the house as soon as he parks that big old red tractor and stand by that heat pumping wood stove. This whole My Hero doing ALL the chores thing seems to be working out well for me. This is the best gift in the world for me right now. I can actually sit and watch him work from the comfort of this old chair and drink coffee and dream. He is the greatest. Oops, I see him coming through the gate in the barnyard so I best stop talking about him; no one likes to know someone is talking about them behind their back even if it is that head swelling with compliments stuff.

Happy New Year to all of you who have made this life of mine enjoy such a wonderful happy year. A year that had seen many changes and challenges but at the same time being filled with so many joys and filled with new meanings for my future. Those of you that have been following my blog know that my life has been one of those, you never know what is going to happen next years, thank you so much for coming along for the ride and always being there to help me pull myself off the ride and with my wobbly legs, holding me till I found my balance once again on solid ground.

So enough of this, thinking and living in the past year stuff, I am so looking forward to this 2014 year, I already know it is going to be very full of excitement and new adventures and I look forward to sharing every one of them with you.

There will be plenty of chores ahead with our cows calving in March and April. There will be watching the spring rains of April and May making the grass grow and the hay fields flourish. There will be haying the abundant amount of hay with any luck in June, July and August. All of this will keep me very busy indeed. This farm stuff will keep me busy but there is oh so very much off farm things that are going to have to be placed in there somehow. I have never really been a great Tetris player but I know that I can do it all because I have the best inspiration reading this story at the other end, waiting and ready to pick me up if I happen to slow down or stumble. You are awesome and I am so very grateful for our friendship.

Thank you everyone…… I do wish you all a very Happy 2014. I am positive with all of us all leaning on one another as usual there is nothing we cannot get through. This is going to be one great year I just know it.

Right now I am going to enjoy every moment of watching My Hero out there in the cold taking care of business and leaving me to dream until next week when things once again will return to normal around here on the farm, whatever that means. You honestly in life never know what you will be unwrapping.

Hugs and Later.

  17. What a beautiful post! I am glad you get to be inside for a bit. Even though I am sure even Siberian Cold fronts bring their own special kind of beauty. I told my boys about your following deer and not rabbits. They laughed.
I echo all of your sentiments. It is so nice to be here, knowing that this year will be a New One filled with new adventures.
I look forward to continuing the journey and reading your story.
You do have beautiful Herefords. I showed them at state fairs for many years.
