Sure it's cold but I love it.

There is no other door to knowledge than the door Nature opens;
and there is no truth except the truths we discover in nature.

I thought I would show you a small part of my winter mornings, the part that keeps me coming back for more. Even the mornings it is -25 degrees Celsius like it was this morning, I still need to be out there.
Pull up a chair and enjoy.... no parka required.

  1. Ahhh...those Canadian "crunching sounds" and the conversation of the crows. They bring back memories (oh wait..that was yesterday). Still...I wouldn't mind hearing the whisper of the grass again.

  10. B,

    I miss hearing the crunch of snow under my feet. The snow we get down here in Oklahoma is not like up north.

  13. Yes very crunchy! We have been spared the worst of winter's cold and snow here in the Creston Valley, but it isn't over yet; many times our heaviest snow comes in March and early April- the good thing about that is, it doesn't last long.

    I have to admit that as much as I dislike clearing the snow off our driveway/sidewalk ... it is such a wonder! I, too, love the sound of the snow crunching under my feet! Well done! LOL

  36. Sounds like it's kinda cold out your way. We got -52C wind chill last night, so things here pretty brisk and bracing. I and the dogs are staying inside most of the time.

  37. How I would love to share your white world for a short while. We are still having a heat wave here in Perth while our eastern states cousins are drifting slowly into autumn. They've even had lots of rain whereas we've had none for over 3 months. Please send some snow post haste. Thank you.

  38. You have about the same amount of snow as we do now. High 5. :)

  41. This is how it sounds at my house too! It was -23 this morning, and just a touch of fresh snow. It's supposed to be +6 and rain on Saturday - I'm not looking forward to the rain, though the warm temperatures will be nice as I'm ready for summer!

    Hugs,
    Mandi

  42. I used to not mind the snow...but after this year, I'm done with it. It might have something to do with living in one room, or just that it has been too cold for too long. I did enjoy going for a walk with you though! You should do this more often!
