A Canadian Toque Rack Search and Adventure!

(Winners Announced)

Clear writers, like clear fountains,
do not look so deep as they are;
the turbid looks most profound.
                       Walter Savage Landor

Ms. Pink and Ms. Orange have been waiting anxiously to see where their future adventures will be had. They knew today was the day that the winners would be announced so we needed to fit in just one last adventure. Searching for that perfect Canadian Toque Rack was to be that last adventure before they would be packed up with Gramma Rosie’s Fleece Socks then heading for parts unknown.

I pulled on my own green and white fluffy camouflage hat, my Pink Cadillacs and put Ms. Pink and Ms. Orange in a bag in the pocket of my coveralls and headed out to feed the girls. Of course there had to be the saying goodbye to Bossy2 thing, all the girls must have known something was going on because they all gathered round and cheered when those hats came out of that bag and then Bossy2 modelled them one last time. I must admit she looked very spiffy and I was getting a little teary eyed thinking of letting these two adventure buddies go but knew they would be going to good homes and new adventures. The other girls were a little worried that now they would never get a chance to wear one of these hats because it seemed Bossy2 was not in a sharing mood that day but I assured them that as long as there was snow on the ground and no calves being born I would have time to knit some more and that seemed to satisfy them for now.

After the fashion shoot I bid goodbye and with those two hats in my hand I headed down the worn snowy trail to the bush where the deer had been very active all night and bunny tracks crossed their trail, I stumbled over a branch near a pile of brush and looked down to see a lone bunny sitting and looking at me without fear, I credit that to those hats I had in my hand, I am pretty sure she wanted one too. Oh the creatures of the forest must know spring was coming as they were out and about exploring and enjoying those warmer nights, there were tracks of every description heading in every direction. Off in the distance I could hear that jack hammering Pileated Woodpecker and instinctively the hats and I headed in that direction. Well that pesky bird had escaped my eyes again but I did find a nice Canadian Toque Rack, I rather like this one.

I followed paths the deer had made which were as nice as any sidewalk I had ever seen in those big cities and I could not help but wonder if Ms. Orange and Ms. Pink would be going to a city. Finding these paths was a great thing as I had forgotten to pull on my snowshoes in all the excitement and the snow was still deep in the bush. The sun was bouncing off those snowy rails that My Hero and I had built over the years, I never tire of seeing them. The shadows cast from the trees were dancing across the snow and I could not help but think what a great day for a send-off adventure for Ms. Pink and Ms. Orange, I know they enjoyed it as much as I did and as a bonus we really found some very beautiful Canadian Toque Racks for future adventures.

Now it was time, I had to tell them where they were going.

#1- Ms. Pink will be heading.... Around Roanoke a Daily Photo Blog to Tanya.

#2- Ms. Orange will be heading ..... I'm So Vintage to Laura.

And in keeping with my belief that everything happens for a reason and the fact that when I pulled #2 out of the hat, one name fell into my lap so I really had to listen.

#3- Ms. Must Be A Reason will be heading.... Lone Pine Farm to Mandi

Congratulations and may the adventures continue.

Both Tanya, Laura and Mandi have been contacted so Ms. Pink and Ms. Orange, will be off very soon. Ms. Must be a Reason is on my knitting needles right now and will be leaving in a few days Mandi.

Thank you to everyone that entered and wanted one of those adventurous hats, I was truly humbled by the interest in my wonky work. I still wish I could mail you all one.

Did you see your favourite Canadian Toque Rack?

Oh my heavens these are most gorgeous tuque (I'M French Canadian) I've ever seen wow you are so talented I tried to knit, my scarf usually ends up looking like half a skirt....what can I say? these are stunning how lovely of you to give them away wow, you know that you can have at least 30 posts at a time, all you need to do is go to design then go to settings and then I think it's format or something like that and you can indicate how many posts you want on one page, I always put 30 so people are drawn to look more at the previous which is stunning!!!
