Google bring back my baby.....please.

No man really becomes a fool until he stops asking questions.
                                                 Charles Proteus Steinmetz

You Google have been taking my baby and throwing it into unfamiliar surroundings I know it must be very frightened and confused. You see it is not your ordinary worldly blog; it is a bit naïve, if you will. Born on a farm sheltered in the countryside surrounded by trees was all it knew. It, over the years ventured outside its world with the blessing of me its mother.

As of late it has been going and visiting friends around the world every Monday, Wednesday and Friday every week without fail and was so happy doing that. It liked the routine and loved visiting with people who knew it, who loved it and I never worried about where it was spending its time. I knew it was safe because its blogger family would always let me know it had arrived safely.

Lately my poor baby has been forgotten, neglected and ignored, never knowing where it would end up. It is worried that its family from around the world will not come looking for it and forget. Worried they will be unable to find it and take it back to the places it knows and felt loved and protected. I (it’s mother) the person who loves it more than anything and constantly worries about its safety need to know. Why you are doing this?

It has been waiting and waiting for hours sometimes days while I (its mother) tried everything to find it and bring it back home to once again try to send it to its blogger family who were waiting. I could hear whispers as it left messages here and there with randomness but could not find it here on Blogger. Where have you been holding it Google?

It appears that now it is being sent out then imprisoned in boxes called spam, and promotions and no one has any idea it is locked in there. Some of its blogger family have been searching for it in the same places it has always landed. It is frightened and I have to admit so am I. Please let it once again travel that familiar route and be on time, while always expecting that reliable service that it has counted on from you. I would really not like to have to switch our carrier. Does the name WordPress ring a bell?

You see it is not your ordinary worldly blog; it is a bit naïve, if you will. Born on a farm sheltered in the country surrounded by trees was all it knew. Please take care of it and send it on its familiar way once again.

I, (its mother) will continue to send it out; dressed in its best outfit with its hair combed and its face washed. Hoping it will arrive safely with a smiling face greeting friends at 6 A.M. every Monday, Wednesday and Friday hoping it will be OK. Back to the world and family it knew and loved who are waiting for its arrival. Protecting it from the path you are taking her down Google. Bring my baby back…..please.

  2. So frustrating! I've been seeing your links on facebook, thankfully. I don't understand Google's ways either. A couple of years ago they shut down my blog because of spam...???! I had to fill out an appeal to get it back. I hope they come to their senses soon!

  4. Your last post showed up in my reader. But I think a lot of folks are having issues. Some people are having word verification even though they turned it off.

  6. Your baby arrived here safe and sound this morning. I once found that all the content of my blog, including text and photos, had been stolen by someone halfway around the globe and promoted as their own! These things can happen. I sic (ed) Google on them and checked back in a few days. It was gone. But in this day of technology I think it's impossible for blogger or word press to be free of these things.

  7. Yeah, Blogger sometimes "loses" a blog or two in my feed. That's why I cross-watch via BlogLovin. It may be slower but it has yet to drop a blog from my watch list.

  9. And my comment Published!

Sorry you are having some sort of problems.

Someone tells me, my posts do not show up, for her, till a couple of days late. Which would seem to be a problem of sorts.

    Good luck!!!!!

Oh and when you find a blogging problem, do _publicize_ it. I think many blogging ladies are too timid to state issues, to another bloggers. But if we don't, how do any of us, know if we are experiencing a problem????

  20. I am just reading the blog posts of the day here at suppertime and yours is near the top of my roll - no problem at all. I hope the issue on your end clears up as it's very frustrating.

  21. Google and blogger can be so frustrating at times. I haven't noticed too many problems of seeing your posts although they do arrive late. I was annoyed recently as my photos upload blurry but that seems to have improved. Hope google takes care of all our babies.

  22. Sometimes my whole reading list just disappears. I refresh and then, after several tries, I can get it back. A few months ago, someone must have pirated an unused blog that I hadn't removed from my list. I began receiving movie spam from a blog name I didn't recognize. I finally had to go through my list and delete every blog that I knew had been inactive for awhile. That fixed the problem.

  23. I've been pretty happy with Blogger, but when my favorite blogs move to another platform, I do have trouble sometimes, as they can download viruses to my inbox, so I don't open them in my email account and have to put them on my blog roll. Google keeps that issue safe. As far as spammers, change your comments to 'registered users only' and then you will get very few. The few that slip in can be labeled 'spam' and that gets rid of them. Sometimes if you are out in the boonies, like me, you get glitches in the downloads, but if you close out and open up again, it usually sorts itself out. Hope you stay with Google. Hugs xo Karen

  24. Very well said! I sometimes have difficulty with Blogger Dashboard loading the blogs I've registered to follow. I will have the message that I have no blogs listed on my reading list. Eventually it is all resolved, but it is quite annoying. xo

  25. Gracie, what happened to your blog? It's been showing up in all of my feeds today...but as you well know, I'm wayyyyy behind in visiting everyone.

So for today I've given your blog a hug and sent it back to you....I hope that it finds it's way OK.

  28. awwww, why can't everything just work, like it is suppose to. I have been experiencing little glitches myself, but I think your blog has been in my reading list, as scheduled!!

Because it is free and works "most" of the time, I am grateful!!

  29. A child indeed. Troubles indeed in blogger land. Fortunately I only have problems commenting using my iPad so far...Hope all gets sorted out for you very soon.

  30. I thought I'd received everything you had posted but in checking I have not, I checked my spam unwanted mail file, you are not there but you haven't been arriving in the 'blog list' either. I have had my own foggles with Google hope it gets sorted out SOON. enjoyed your post though not your google troubles.

  33. Strange! Your blog has come to me with regularity. Or, rather, I have come to it. I know when there is something new, so I come for a visit. Sorry that you have been having problems.

    Blessings and Bear hugs!

  35. Why do all llamas have bad teeth? And what is the object in the third photo? I love the way it is aged and worn with time, but still loved! And the person who made the display of old lumbering tools must be a real collector - everything is so neat!!!
Hope the blogging issues straighten out for you!!

  36. I am so sorry, I can just imagine how scared your somewhat naive country blog must be. Mine uses Google too, but it posts so irregularly that I don't know if it is missing somewhere in Googleland. Google is a strange and pushy place to be, but so far it has worked for my also somewhat naive desert canyon blog. I hope yours will get it all straightened out soon.
