Bossy2, My Hero and I wish you….

Happiness is the harvest of a quiet eye.

         Austin O’Malley

The holiday seems to have crept in very quickly. We at the farm did not want to let it pass without wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. 2015 is already beginning to look like the year of possibilities for everyone.

Bossy2 (The Diva), honestly just wanted me to ask who you think looks prettier? It seems Red is “Stealing her thunder,” as they say, and she is feeling a bit insecure.
So would your vote be for Red in red or Bossy2 in red? I will not be answering that. It is surely a trick question.

I see No reason to give Bossy2 more compliments. Her head is surely starting to swell. Diva is the right word indeed. You would have thought at the very least she would have washed behind her ears before stealing my hat for that photo shoot.

Enjoy the holidays no matter how you choose to celebrate. Don’t forget that family, be they related, or have been accumulated over your lifetime are family after all. Love and be kind to one another. Laugh, smile, and share the joy.

Wishing you all the best, from down on the farm. We look forward to sharing our adventures and stories with you all in the New Year. See you soon. Hugs B

And now I would like to send a very special message to our girls, who will be celebrating in the city. This will be their first time away from all of us here on the farm for the holidays.
We will miss you and do know this; no matter where we all celebrate our hearts are always together. Enjoy creating your own new traditions and memories with the ones you love. Love Mom and Dad xo

  1. Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year. I think Bossy2 looks better in red, only because Red's coat clashes with the red hat. I think Red would look stunning in a blue or purple.

  23. Merry Christmas B. I also like the message to your daughters and feel the same way. Sometimes parents can ruin holidays with strong demands.
May you and your Hero have one heck of a Happy and Healthy New Year. I love your cows.

  24. Merry Christmas down on the farm. Love the cows in their Christmas hats. It is a little sad when the girls can't get home for Christmas. One of mine has made tit and the other is celebrating with friends far across the sea in LA.

As you might have noticed, I'm not that active on my blog anymore. I still have two blogspot pages for my photos and I am very active on my Google Plus page. I can tell you that Google Plus is a nice way to meet other photographers and bloggers. Do you know that you can show your new messages of your blogspot page automatically on Google Plus?

I am looking forward to welcoming you on my page: https://plus.google.com/+GertJanHermus/posts

  31. Blessings to you and your family, and I hope the coming new year brings more joy & happiness than you could have anticipated.

It is so different to celebrate the Christmas holidays without our children, but growing up and beginning new celebrations with their new family is the way of things.... and sharing a quiet time with the husband of your youth is every bit as wondrous.
