A Song and A Dream!

“I dream my painting and then I paint it.

                              Vincent Van Gough

Remember the song from 1966, by Napolean X1V  called They're Coming To Take me Away ha ha? My sister knows that song can still freak me out. I do not know why. She still taunts me with it. This song has the ability to turn me in to that scared, shaking little girl, all over again. Thanks P.
This brings me to a dream I had twice, once in the middle of the night, and again early this morning. It was so real , both times. I could hear the voices and I am sure that is why I woke up. I truly thought it was happening.
There was a small, old black pickup truck backed up to my front door. I ran out to the step and both times they ignored me, and drove off. I can still hear their voices in my head. I sit here with my coffee this morning wondering……

What the heck does it mean? Are they really coming to take me away? Has my sister P been right all these years?

There were two men in the cab of the truck, and a little boy, and an older woman in the back. This is so vivid in my mind. They were all wearing uniforms like I remember the mechanics at our Canadian Tire store always wearing. I could almost make out the names, on their right breast pocket.

 Am I crazy?

I can hear the voices of the men in the front, their voices are garbled. I hear the woman say to the boy “Never mind.” They could not hear me, or were just ignoring me. Then I wake up.
OK once is not bad, but a rerun the very same night, come on.

Is it just a weird dream, and the rerun a coincidence?
Is there someone trying to tell me something?
Is my Jeep going to break down, and I should go to Canadian Tire?
Is my house going to be robbed?
Did P predict my future?

What do you think? Is a dream, just a dream?

They're Coming to Take Me Away haha !!!!    shiver shiver.

  1. They were indeed coming to take you away, but after they saw you come out of the house, they quickly decided not to mess with you. You have nothing to worry about---but your dream did give you a good idea for a blog topic!

  2. They're coming to take all of us away sometime in our crazy lifes,it's just a song silly.Enjoy the ride.:)"P"

  3. oh, your subconscious is working double-time now! i hate it when i dream like that and have no idea what the message is supposed to be!

  4. I have been blessed by a few dreams from God about relatives , friends, and a patient that were in the process of passing away.

Do you have any friends, relatives etc that these people could be? Make sure you are right with God. I don't want to scare you. Just might be God checking on your walk with him. He checks on us you know.

    God Bless

  5. I'm a firm believer that most dreams are just your subconscious mind "taking out the trash"!

  6. I agree with Samatha. Have had some scary ones myself .. just shows you're anxious about something. Maybe as simple as you want to go to Haolland with your girls

  7. The subconscious mind has lots of fun when our conscious one switches off. Songs are such strong triggers too - same as smells for some reason!
Perhaps you had a curry for your evening meal ;-)
    It's just a dream :D:

  8. ooh, sorry for your fright, but maybe it's just a reminder to put air in your tires regularly to get better gas mileage! ;)

  9. It's too bad we can't sort out the warnings from the weirdness when it comes to dreams, especially those vivid ones that scare the socks off of us!

  10. good debate for today....pleasant dreams my friend!!!

  11. Black

Black symbolizes the unknown, the unconscious, danger, mystery, darkness, death, mourning, rejection, hate or malice. The color invites you to delve deeper in your unconscious in order to gain a better understanding of yourself. It also signifies a lack of love and lack of support. More positively, black represents potential and possibilities. It is like a clean or blank slate.

If the feeling in the dream is one of joy, then blackness could imply hidden spirituality and divine qualities.

To dream in black and white, suggests that you need to be more objective in formulating your decisions. You may be a little too unyielding in your thought process and thus need to find some sort of balance between two opposing views. Consider the views and opinions of others. Alternatively, black and white dreams is a sign of depression or sadness. You may feel that there is not enough excitement in your life.

To see a man in your dream, denotes the aspect of yourself that is assertive, rational, aggressive, and/or competitive. Perhaps you need to incorporate these aspects into your own character. If the man is known to you, then the dream may reflect you feelings and concerns you have about him.

If you are a woman and dream that you are in the arms of a man, then it suggests that you are accepting and welcoming your stronger assertive personality. It may also highlight your desires to be in a relationship and your image of the ideal man.

To see an old man in your dream, represents wisdom or forgiveness. The old man may be a archetypal figure who is offering guidance to some daily problem.

If you are female and dream that you see or are a boy, then it indicates that you are developing the masculine aspects of character. Alternatively, it may represent your feelings about a real-life boy who is important and significant to you. You may have a crush on this boy and your waking thoughts of him has carried over into the dream world. Your motherly instincts may be taking over.

If you are an adult male and dream that you see or are a boy, then it suggests your playful, innocent, childlike nature. Alternatively, it can symbolize the immature aspects of yourself that still needs to grow. Your inner child may be trying to draw your attention to parts of yourself that you need to recognize and acknowledge.

You can look up more aspects to your dream at

I thinks it's fun to look up my dreams.

  12. haha i'm sure they would want you! haha nice specimen of a human being and funny too!

And no i don't know that song but i do know about dreaming and the meanings of them!

    Thanks for the laugh!

  13. were they wearing carnations, and were you naked? if so, you have nothing to worry about.

  14. Sounds like an Amish version of The Matrix.

  15. I remember hearing that song around 1:00pm on KOMA Oklahoma City, Oklahoma while driving home from a basketball game (we lived an hour from town and games were more than an hour away). I remember I stopped and couldn't believe that was actually a song. Maybe the dream has to do with your kids and Oma going to Holland without you. Not much help am I?

  16. I remember that song. I always thought it was silly. I miss those days sometime though. When I was a kid, all of my Aunts and Uncles were alive, and we always got together with relatives to play. aaahhhh the 60's.....

The dream...I've had weird dreams my whole life. Scary ones too. But nothing ever came out of them except lack of sleep! I just woke up this week screaming from a scary dream.
